VETERANS DAY CEREMONY

Each year, the City of Dublin, in partnership with the Wesley G. Davids Dublin Post 800 of the American Legion, hosts the annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Dublin Veterans Park. This event honors all men and women who served our country to protect our freedom.

We welcome you and your family to join us at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, to support and celebrate our veterans!

THE CEREMONY

Ceremony will include remarks from Commander Jeff Noble, Council Member and U.S. Army veteran John Reiner, keynote speaker Carol Jaeger, LTC USA (RET) and music by Dublin’s John Sells Middle School students.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will move indoors to the John Sells Middle School gymnasium.

We also invite the public to take a tour of the Grounds of Remembrance. Visit the eight features at the Dublin Veterans and scan the corresponding QR code to watch an informational video narrated by U.S. Army veteran Mike Kehoe.

Keynote Speaker | LTC Carol B. Jaeger, USA (Ret.), DNP, RN, NNP-BC

LTC Jaeger is a retiree of the United States Army.  She served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps on active duty for seven years and as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserves for 23 years.  LTC Jaeger received a Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University and a Master of Science and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from The Ohio State University.  She has served in multiple professional nursing and leadership roles in the military and civilian systems.  During her service in the U.S. Army, LTC Jaeger served as a nurse practitioner, educator, chief curse, mobilization officer and battalion commander.  As a civilian professional, she has practiced as a neonatal nurse practitioner, manager, administrator of the Ohio Department of Health Maternity Licensure Program, neonatal services administrator, faculty and consultant.  Currently, Dr. Jaeger is adjunct faculty at The Ohio State University College of Nursing, serves on the board of directors of the Central Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses and is a member of two professional committees to establish national standards for the design of neonatal intensive care units and the practice of infant and family-centered developmental care in intensive care.

LTC Jaeger is a long-time resident of Dublin.  She is married to Jim, a U.S. Air Force veteran and they are the proud parents of two accomplished adult children.  Carol and Jim are both members of the Wesley Davids Memorial American Legion Post 800.
