Each year, the City of Dublin, in partnership with the Wesley G. Davids Dublin Post 800 of the American Legion, hosts the annual Veterans Day Ceremony in the Sells Middle School Gymnasium (moved inside due to potenial inclement wether) at 11 a.m. Nov. 11. The event honors all men and women who served our country and their dedication to our freedom.

We welcome you and your family to join us for this in-person event to support our veterans and thank them for their selfless service to our country.

The Ceremony

Due to potential inclement weather, the Veterans Day Ceremony will be held in the Sells Middle School Gymnasium.

The 2022 keynote speaker is Lieutenant Colonel Michael Kelvington. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and commissioned as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army. He has overseas experience in special operations, counterterrorism and counterinsurgency operations over 14 deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, among other places, including with the 75th Ranger Regiment. He’s been awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Valor and two Purple Hearts for wounds sustained in combat. He is a Downing Scholar, Non-Resident Fellow of the Joint Special Operations University and holds three Masters Degrees from Princeton, Liberty and Regent universities.

LTC Kelvington and his family moved to Columbus this past summer where he serves as the Professor of Military Science and Leadership at The Ohio State University Army ROTC. He is married to Meg Kelvington, a 2006 West Point graduate, who served eight years in the U.S. Army as a Blackhawk and RC-12 pilot. They have four children.
